PUBLIC NOTICE ON VERIFICATION AND ENQUIRY SERVICES

NATIONAL BOARD FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION (NBTE)

The general public, government agencies, private organizations, institutions, employers, and other stakeholders are hereby informed that the Inspectorate Department of the National Board for Technical Education has introduced service charges for verification and enquiry services relating to institutions, programmes, certificates, and accreditation status under the purview of the Board.

This measure is aimed at improving efficiency, enhancing service delivery, strengthening regulatory oversight, and ensuring timely processing of requests.

The charges apply to requests for:

  • Institutional Status Enquiry 
  • Programme Accreditation Status Verification 
  • Staff Verification 
  • Institutional/Programme Confirmation 
  • Bulk Verification Requests 
  • International Verification/Enquiries 
  • Express/Fast-Track Processing Services

MODE OF PAYMENT

All payments shall be made through the Federal Government Treasury Single Account (TSA) via Remita using the details below:

PAYMENT PROCEDURE

  1. Visit: Remita 
  2. Click on “Pay a Federal Government Agency.”
  3. Select National Board for Technical Education from the agency list. 
  4. Fill in the required details. 
  5. Under Service/Purpose, select the appropriate payment category, including: 
    • Verification Fee 
    • Resource Inspection & Advisory Fee 
    • Accreditation Fee 
    • NSQF Fee 
    • Curriculum Development Fee 
    • SIWES Fee 
  6. Proceed to payment and generate your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR). 
  7. Complete payment online or at any commercial bank. 
  8. Submit evidence of payment along with your request before processing. 

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • Requests will only be processed upon confirmation of payment. 
  • Bulk requests beyond the stated limits may attract negotiated rates subject to Management approval. 
  • Fees are subject to periodic review in line with government policies and prevailing economic conditions. 
  • Waivers may be granted for critical government, security, or national interest matters upon approval. 
  • Payments made under incorrect payment categories may not be recognized for verification purposes.
